Phone numbers for ElevenLabs Conversational AI — SIP trunk setup with DIDHub

DIDHub provisions phone numbers for ElevenLabs Conversational AI agents. Connect a DIDHub SIP trunk to your ElevenLabs agent via BYOC; route inbound DIDs to specific agent configurations and place outbound calls with proper Caller-ID and STIR/SHAKEN.

Why DIDHub for ElevenLabs Conversational AI

  • Sub-50ms regional ingress for ElevenLabs realtime. ElevenLabs Conversational AI is latency-sensitive. DIDHub's regional SIP/RTP edges keep the PSTN-to-ElevenLabs path tight.
  • STIR/SHAKEN A-attestation. Critical for outbound voice agent volume in the US/CA — mobile carriers flag B-attestation calls aggressively.
  • 136-country DIDs for global deployments. ElevenLabs supports many languages; pair with local DIDs in the destination country for best answer rates.
  • DTLS-SRTP support for WebRTC bridges. If your ElevenLabs integration uses a WebRTC bridge (e.g. via LiveKit), DIDHub supports DTLS-SRTP encrypted media.

BYOC setup — step by step

  1. Sign up at /signup and provision the DID(s).
  2. In ElevenLabs Conversational AI: configure your agent and open the BYOC / SIP trunk settings (path varies by ElevenLabs UI version).
  3. Paste DIDHub SIP credentials. ElevenLabs will register or peer to DIDHub's edge.
  4. Bind DID ↔ ElevenLabs agent.
  5. Test inbound + outbound; validate audio quality (especially given ElevenLabs' strict latency profile).
Documentation note. ElevenLabs Conversational AI's BYOC / SIP trunk configuration UI changes occasionally. The steps above reflect the current pattern at time of writing. If a screen has moved, the underlying values (SIP URI, credentials, allowed source IPs) are the same — check ElevenLabs Conversational AI's docs for the latest UI path.

Caller-ID configuration

Set the DIDHub DID as the outbound Caller-ID in your ElevenLabs agent's call configuration. For US destinations, present a US DIDHub DID for A-attestation. For international, present a DID in the destination country (or as close as practical) for answer-rate optimization.

For US/CA outbound: DIDHub signs every call with STIR/SHAKEN attestation A on DIDHub-allocated and DIDHub-ported numbers. This is the level that mobile carriers (T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T) treat with baseline trust — calls signed with weaker attestation are increasingly flagged as “Spam Likely” or sent straight to voicemail. See STIR/SHAKEN explained for the full background.

For non-US destinations: present a local DID as Caller-ID for best answer rates. AI agent calling a Madrid customer should present a +34 (Spanish) Caller-ID, not a US number. DIDHub serves 136 countries with dedicated landing pages so you can match Caller-ID to destination.

Latency & regional ingress

Realtime AI voice is brittle to network latency — an extra 100ms of SIP egress can break the natural-conversation feel. DIDHub operates SIP/RTP edges in:

  • NOAM: Ashburn (US-East), San Jose (US-West), Dallas
  • EU: Frankfurt, Amsterdam
  • APAC: Singapore, Tokyo
  • MENA: Dubai

Pick the edge nearest to your ElevenLabs Conversational AI inference region. Typical sub-50ms regional ingress for the closest pair. If you need a region we don't list, talk to [email protected] — we add edges in response to customer demand.

FAQ

Does ElevenLabs Conversational AI support BYOC SIP?

Yes — ElevenLabs has BYOC for phone-call agents. The exact UI path depends on the version of the ElevenLabs platform you're on.

Will DIDHub's regional ingress reduce my ElevenLabs latency?

Yes if you choose the DIDHub edge closest to your ElevenLabs inference region. Realtime AI voice is sensitive to RTT — reducing the SIP egress hop matters.

Is voice cloning legal across countries?

Voice cloning legality varies by jurisdiction. DIDHub provides the telephony layer; legal compliance for voice-cloning content is your responsibility per your AUP.

Can I use DIDHub for ElevenLabs' web embedded mode?

Web embedded uses WebRTC, not PSTN, so DIDs don't apply. DIDHub is for the phone-call mode.
